Level 3: Early Developing

This 5-level guided reading system helps kids master verbal, reading, and writing skills — starting at any level. Every app, storybook, and video has been hand-selected to help kids gain the knowledge they need to transition from learning-to-read to reading-to-learn.

Early Developing packs are ideal for readers who have reached the following milestones:
- Participates in conversation
- Asks questions to clarify uncertainty
- Understands the organization of print
- Distinguishes long versus short vowel words
- Writes text with simple facts
- Begins to spell long vowel words with patterns

Aquatic Mammals
Your child discovers the terms warm-blooded, semiaquatic mammal, aquatic mammal, blubber, tusk, baleen, breaching, webbed flippers while learning about awesome aquatic mammals.

Basic Phonics 1
Practice phonemic awareness skills with short segments of fun. Choose your language pattern and make pairs, drag and drop letter combinations, tap the words, rhyme words, sound hunt, and make pairs.

Blue Whale
A blue whale's heart is the size of a small car! Your child learns this and more about the world's largest animal. New academic vocabulary words are krill, baleen, endangered.

Deep Ocean
Your child earns a Jellyfish Thinking Cap after learning 4 terms: twilight zone, midnight zone, bioluminescent, and giant squid, making a total of 38 academic words in this unit.

Jumbled Words
Children can arrange letters to spell words correctly while creating a good foundation for writing and vocabulary.

Meet the Phonics: Digraphs
Children will fall in love with these wonderful characters as they Meet the Digraphs. Two letters that come together to form a single sound are taught in primary school as "letter digraphs".
