A fellow at the New York Public Library Center for Scholars and Writers, Barrett lives in North Adams, Massachusetts and teaches at Williams College. Narrator Jeff Woodman created the title role in Tennessee Williams' The Notebook of Trigorin and won the S.F. Critics' Circle Award for his performance in An Ideal Husband.
