Sarah, Plain and Tall

Their mother died the day after Caleb was born. Their house on the prairie is quiet now, and Papa doesn't sing anymore. Ms. MacLachlan lives in Western Massachusetts and to this day carries a small bag of prairie dirt with her wherever she goes to remind her of her early days on the prairie. Glenn Close has received five Oscar nominations, three Tony Awards (out of four nominations), one Emmy Award and three Grammy nominations. Her remarkably varied work includes the feature films The World According to Garp, The Big Chill, Fatal Attraction, Sarah, Plain and Tall, and the Broadway musical Sunset Boulevard.
