The goal of the Technology & Space Module is to build kids’ fascination with the solutions of tomorrow and get them excited to look beyond the world they see today. Topics in this module include mechanics, astronomy, robotics, coding, communication.
STEAM Academy offers an interdisciplinary approach that weaves together the science, technology, engineering, art, and math skills learned in the classroom and connects them to things kids see every day.
Charge the Robot
Help the robot solve puzzles using gears, water, and steam while building logic and problem-solving skills. Kids will experiment with cause-and-effect, sequencing, and systems thinking, all of which are core concepts behind coding, through a fun, stress-free physics-based game.
Concentration
Games and activities to sharpen memory, observation and listening skills.
Intro to Math
Children will learn to read, write and understand numbers from 0-9, number symbols, sequence, order and spatial relationships while developing problem solving and fine motor skills.
Obstacle Shmopstacle
Codie wants to run an obstacle course just like Mia, but he keeps bumping into things. Mia rethinks the code, allowing Codie to climb over the obstacles and complete the course. Students learn to think critically and creatively.
Pirate Treasure
While playing pirates, Evu takes over as Captain and programs Codie with a variety of nonsensical blocks. Mia steps in and debugs the code, helping Codie find pirate treasure. Students learn to recognize sources of stress and cope with challenges.
Robot Girl
Lou loves robots. She gets interested in robotics and all of the things that robots can do for us. The friends imagine the alien world with the big robot and other robot friends big and small.
Robot Trains & the Great Storm
Help the Robot Trains get energy to save Railworld from the great storm by problem-solving to advance to the next world.
Space Dreamers
Get ready to go to space with Bow Wizzle (played by Snoop Dogg) and the whole Doggyland crew! In this song the puppies will use the power of dreams to fly around the cosmos.
Super Codie
While playing superheroes, Evu gets his cape stuck up in a tree. After trying to retrieve it, Mia realizes coding can be a superpower. She programs Codie to retrieve the cape and save the day. Everyday heroes - coding can save the day.
Team Work
Codie wants to play street hockey! Evu tries to teach him, but realizes Codie needs the right coding blocks, the right sequence, and a great teammate. Students learn about teamwork.
The Stars Go By
Jump in your rocket to see robots, auroras, meteors, and planets as the stars go by. Join us for music time and come along on an adventure with this original song about the wonders of space.
Tommy the Turtle Learn to Code
Learn the basics of coding in a fun, interactive way. Great for people of all ages and abilities. Learn To Code covers basic commands, sequences and loops, and combines audio, visual, and touch inputs to enhance multi-sensory learning.
