Lazarus "Laz" Weathers is heading into his senior year but instead of feeling excited about the future, his life is heading towards a dead end. With the trailer park he calls home being shut down and his brother getting mixed up with drug dealers, his only escape is baseball.
But when he gets an opportunity to pitch for another school and have a chance at getting drafted to the major leagues, can he leave everything and everyone he knows behind?
